Lanier serves as the Associate Pastor, spending most of his time in youth and family ministry. He and Leslie both graduated from Furman University. They still day dream about mountains and the foothills of the Carolinas. Lanier received a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. He was a pastor in Birmingham, AL at Cross Creek Church (PCA) before planting RUF at the University of South Alabama. Lanier served as the Campus Minister for 5 years before coming on staff at Covenant here in Mobile. If you ask Lanier what he loves he’ll likely tell you: Jesus, his Wife, his Family, being a ‘Bammer,’ riding bikes, working out, coffee, people, & doing pretty much anything outside. If you ask him what he abhors, it’ll be the “other” team, corndogs, communication, & organization. He’d love to make you a cup of coffee & talk (perhaps obsess) about any of his or your loves.
