Connecting at Covenant

There are many ways to connect and serve at Covenant.
Pray and consider where you might want to join in and reach out to the contact provided.

WORSHIP:

Ushering & Greeting
This is a great simple way to serve the church, and welcome those into worship. Ushers and greeters are on rotation and typically serve once per month.

Music
If you have gifts of music, please reach out to our Worship Director, Whitney Rajkovic: whitney@covenantpresmobile.org

Special Events
There are always chances to jump in and serve during our special services, including moving a few tables, putting together flower arrangements, organizing food, etc. Just listen out when they are coming up, or email Kathryn at kathryn@covenantpresmobile.org if you’d like to help.

Adult Ministries:

Women’s Bible Study
Ladies meet Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.
Contact Kitty for more info kitty@covenantpresmobile.org

Men’s Bible Study
Thursday mornings at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Email alec@covenantpresmobile.org to be added to the email list.

Small Groups
Meet at various times in the fall and spring. These are groups of 10-14 people, meeting together to study the Bible and share life. Contact Lanier for more info
lanier@covenantpresmobile.org

Young Adults
Please contact lanier@covenantpresmobile.org if you are interested in attending our gatherings or serving.

Prayer Ministry
Every Sunday, we gather as the body of Christ to worship and lift each other up in prayer. Throughout the week, these prayers are also lifted up by our elders and staff. Contact Jenny Webster jbwebster@comcast.net for more information.

Children’s Ministry:

Sunday School
Sunday Morning’s children are dismissed during the sermon to Sunday School Classes where they learn and are discipled.

Catechism Club
Fifth Grade Catechism Club is a special time just for 5th grade children every other Sunday after 11am worship. They learn about God and study the Bible using the New City Catechism. This is the last year before they join in with the Youth.

CovGirls & CovBoys Bible Clubs
This is an after school time on Wednesdays of Bible study, snack, and fellowship. Girls and boys will meet separately twice a month. The kids will study and focus on God’s attributes and build community with each other.

Vacation Bible School
Summer VBS is a yearly highlight of our Children’s ministry. It’s also a whole church moment, where parents, individuals, and youth come to serve our kids during an intense time of discipleship and fun. If you have a gift or desire to serve in our Children’s ministry we’d love to know. We always need teachers & helpers. Even if you are unsure about leading or helping, we will train you so you feel comfortable. This is a great opporunity for growth and gives you the chance to connect with other teachers and helpers who you may not already know.

Youth Ministry:

Weekly Youth Group
Middle School meets Sundays from 4:30-6:15 p.m. High School meets Sundays 5:45-7:30 p.m. Dinner is served each week. We are always looking for help in bringing and serving dinner to our youth. You don’t have to have a student this age to serve.

Winter & Spring Retreats:
Here students have an opportunity to connect with
each other and get away and rest. Summer Camps: This summer our youth will attend retreats with Reformed Youth Ministries (RYM).
Contact sonny@covenantpresmobile.org for more information.

other Serving opportunities:

Crichton Table
Come serve, or just sit and eat at Crichton Table. We serve a community lunch each week at 11:00 am. There are before and after ways to help, but we also want to welcome people to come and eat and build relationships and trust with our neighbors around Crichton.

Deacons
Rides- we provide rides to worship each week to those in our community and part of our church that do not have a form of transportation on Sundays. Contact Kelley Lamberth if you’d like to help, kelleylamberth@gmail.com

Meals- here and there as needed we serve our members and visitors and others with meals in times of need and as a chance to express our love and support. Whether you like to cook, or can deliver a frozen meal, contact Linda Turnipseed if you’d like to help, lturnipseed19@yahoo.com

Work Days
Twice a year, we organize some work days around the church and serve together to clean and beautify our campus. We want to be a witness of gratitude for the place we live by caring for and maintaining the church for the enjoyment of all who pass by, and to be a blessing to our neighbors in a small way. Feel free to contact Brad Hoffman (228-588-2696) if you’re interested in helping or if you have special skills that might be helpful.
